SOCOM 16 is a semi-automatic sniper rifle in CrossFire.
Overview[]
The SOCOM 16 fires 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition. It has a slow-moderate firing rate and takes a short time to reload, but a bit inaccurate at long range (similar to WA2000 and Dragunov), the damage gets reduced at long range (still possible has a 1-hit chance) plus a high recoil making it a bit hard for continuous shot while using a scope.

Trivia[]
- The SOCOM 16 is basically a shortened M1A rifle (civilian version of M14).
- The magazine of the render model is much smaller than an actual M14's magazine. The one of the view model, while correctly scaled, is modelled after M14's 20 round magazine. Here are the pictures of Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 that SOCOM 16 was based on.
- The furniture on SOCOM 16 is called the JAE-100.
- In CF VN, the description claims SOCOM 16 has ammo cap of 10/30, but this gun only has ammo cap of 10/20 in-game.
