
Nano Chase Mode is a Mutation Mode variant which can be considered to be the 16-player version of Mutant Escape Mode. Both sides can fill up the process bar to level up, leading to an intense fight.

This mode features the similar gameplay found in Mutant Escape Mode as soldiers need to camp in a certain time and wait until they can enter the portal to the next sector. In addition, it also comes with the NPC mutants which is mostly seen in Zombie Mode that spawned around the map to attack soldiers. Although they only inflict a very small amount of damage, these NPC mutants are spawned continuously and soldiers can be caught off guard due to this large incoming horde.
Similar to Master Hero Mode X ~ Ability, the level progress bar is also introduced for both sides (displayed on the low middle of the screen instead of middle right), and players can level up to receive certain buff. After maxing out the bar, players can choose to become Supreme Hero or Supreme Terminator.
Due to the revamped gameplay and lower player counts, there are only three Supreme Hero and three Supreme Terminator options for both sides to transform into. Their skills have been slightly tweaked to fit this mode as well.
Before the mutation outbreak, players will have to find certain defense points in the first sector of the map. Once the coutdown runs out, soldiers need to activate one designated core on the map (randomly activated among many cores), and there will be multiple NPC mutants at all levels that will take orders to approach and attack. In this state, soldiers can level up the progress bar by defeating both NPC and players mutants and stopping them from inflicting damage or infecting until the portals to the next sectors are opened.
It should be noted that these NPC mutants have various evolution levels and can also jump to any defense points, so "real" mutants can easily blend into the crowd. Therefore, soldiers should be more careful while clearing all mutants from approaching.
After the mutation outbreak, up to three players will be chosen as host mutants at Level 1, meaning that they are vulnerable to soldiers' massive firepower at the beginning of the round. Mutants can also level up the progress bar by infecting, taking damage from soldiers, receiving supplies from Soul Bead or occupying the next sector of the map. Mutants need to attack soldiers alongside with NPC mutants before they reach the portal of the next section.
In additional, defeated mutants will have cooldown time and they need to press LMB to confirm respawning, otherwise they can choose not to revive instead.
After the NPC mutants are defeated, they will leave the Soul Bead (colored as yellow for soldiers, green for mutants) which both sides can pick up and receive various weapon or item supplies.

During the pre-beta test, it was revealed that the inclusion of NPC mutants caused heavy load to the servers, likely because unlike Zombie Mode, the script must respond to a much larger amount of players (16 instead of 8 like Boss Annihilator), while trying to maintain consistency performance to everyone in the room to ensure balancing gameplay. When the number of rooms increase, the AI script caused a huge frequency of spike and frame drops, making it pretty much unplayable if rolled out to official servers. Therefore, Tencent has decided to suspend Mutant Chase Mode and remove it until they can optimize the AI script to work with higher amount of rooms in the server.
