Mass Mutation Mode is an expanded version of the classic Mutation Mode in CrossFire.

  • CF China: Multiplayer Terminator Mode.
  • CF West: Mass Mutation Mode.
  • CF Brazil: Mutant Confrontation Mode.
  • CF Russia: Breakthrough Mode.
  • CF Indonesia: Nano Zombie Mode.
  • CF Vietnam: Super Zombie Mode / Nano Mode 5th.

Mutant Escape Mode[]

This is the first game mode that supports up to 30 players in a room. In this mode, soldiers must race through very large maps, navigating their obstacles, jumping on platforms, clearing corridors as the mutants chase them in an attempt to prevent soldiers from escaping.

Trivia[]

  • Both variant of Mass Mutation Mode receive the No Flash/Smoke option for the first time outside of Team Deathmatch. For the longest time, this was only enforced in CF China and simply made as a room option in all other servers, but it has since been changed to be mandatory, probably to prevent massive FPS drops on low-end PCs if all 30 players spam Flash/Smoke.
  • Due to the high amount of players, the Room Lobby has been tweaked to utilize Scroll Bars to show all players, with a 15x2 configuration instead of 8x2 like the original 16 players mode.
