MP5-S Ares is an Ares sub-machine gun variant of the MP5 featured in CrossFire.
Overview
This weapon was released along with CrossFire 2.0 update.
The MP5-S Ares is a modification of the MP5-Silencer with a black-silver-red color combination pattern. This weapon uses 9mm Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) bullets that cause a tagging effect, meaning enemies getting hit with its bullets will be slowed down, making it harder for them to run away.
It has fast firing speed which able to tag enemies better. It also has a fast reloading speed and low recoil, as well as slightly higher damage than the original MP5.

- Available in all CF versions which already updated to CrossFire 2.0.
Trivia
- This is the only permanent MP5 variant in CF Vietnam and CF Indonesia aside from the GP one, because both Camo and Silencer variants are in Item Shop (the MP5K A4 is a separate variant so it doesn't count).
- Unlike advanced MP5 variants in CF Vietnam, this gun lacks one spare mag, starting with only 40/80 rounds instead of 40/120. However, it inherits the Ammo inconsistency glitch so it can be used in MM/HM/HMX/MKM with proper ammo count.
- Although this weapon uses the same firing sound with most suppressor weapon (i.e M4A1-S), the firing sound of this gun itself is louder, even in far distance, enemy can hear the firing sound of this weapon easily.
- This is the first MP5 variant has extended retractable stock other than other ones. It was later applied to the Ultimate Goldsmith variant, albeit the silencer.
