Knight SR-25-Ares is the semi-automatic sniper rifle variant of Knight SR-25 featured in CrossFire.

Availability

  • Available in every CF version that released the CrossFire 2.0 update.

Overview

This weapon is released along with CrossFire 2.0 update.

The Knight SR-25 Ares is a major modification of the Knight SR-25. It is fitted with silencer, high magazine capacity, faster reloading time, and a backup sight beside the sniper scope. It is painted with black-silver-red color combination. It does slightly higher damage than the original weapon.

This gun has two scope types - a normal one like original variant and an "express" one, aiming down on backup iron sights, allowing players to handle opponents in closed quarter combat easier.

Trivia

  • Among all Ares weapons, this weapon is the most advanced one, having a new skin, a silencer and a new scope option along with an improved reload/draw time. However, it lacks 1 spare magazine compared to the original Knight SR-25.
    • The back-up iron sight texture looks blurry because it might be the main focus of the BUIS is the red dot in the front sight.
    • In CF Philippines, it has a 1 spare magazine, making the ammo count 20/40.
  • Again, this gun has an ammo inconsistency in Crossfire Vietnam.
  • Knight SR-25-Ares is currently the only sniper rifle equipped with backup sights. It was also followed by the Burning Shot and the Knight SR-25-Titan variant.
    • It's also the first weapon in Crossfire to have the ability to aim down the iron sight. It was later followed by some Volcano weapons but never got scrapped for unknown reason.
