After trying this mode in CF China, now I can enjoy it smoothly when it comes to my version. Well, this mode is probably very familiar in the shooting game communities Fortnite, PlayerUnknown's Battleground or Rules of Survival,.. So ya, I got some review for this mode in CrossFire. Well, first of all, I gotta admit how Tencent tried to bring Battle Royale to CrossFire although the engine of this game is very old - the LithTech one. This mode is not completed and lacks LOTS of things which many survival games features: - Jumping from the plane: I mean seriously, you can't jump from hundreds of miles from the place to the ground and land with nothing but use your arms. Not even that, I can't even know how to control in the sky to land on, especially buildings. (LOL, I feel like a superman!) - Third-person view: This is the biggest problem to CrossFire. It pretty much depends on your connection to the server because the moving or attacking are not in sync. If you want to use Fist or Furious Kick, you have to be in third-person view to attack. Presumably, this is because it takes extremely much time to create Fist or Furious Kick's HUDs for all characters. Tencent should create only two character in this mode like the Mobile version. - Looting: This feature is the most important yet the worst. It is not optimized at all because gun and stuff are everywhere, you have to F to pick items one by one and you can accidentally grab something you don't want to. - Weapons: No weapon attachment such as holographic sight, red dot sight, scopes, suppressor/compensator or grips to enhance weapon stats so ya, shitty weapons stay shitty. - Vehicle: There's only ninebot minis placed on the map which is very small and can go to buildings, only 2 people per ninebot mini. I hoped for cars, trucks or motorbike, seriously.. - Buildings: Most of them have very few doors. You can't fool the enemy into the ambush.
Overall, Tencent at least gave an attempt to bring the mode to an old engine game, especially no backpacks but they brought back the sprinting to run faster by holding Shift. The crawling isn't optimized much because you can't crawl on sloping lands so it is least used in this mode. At least they give the QBU-09-Volcano the variable scope feature for long ranged battle. Anyway, in this run, I didn't run to many places to it doesn't tell much what places it features. Only show how this mode works.
