Mutant Classes

Fake Nano is a male mutant character in CrossFire, playable in Mutation Mode.

Overview[]

This mutants seems to be an old man with his hunchback and a mask worn on his face and has deadly hands to infect human. He is one of the largest mutant character (beside special mutants like Xeno), making him easy target for the soldiers from distance. His attacks are similar to Maiden as they use their own hands, albeit with slower speed compared to the others. Like Smoke Nano, even with Nano Hook or similar items equipped, he still swings it around slower like Maiden or Enchantress.

Skill[]

Uniquely, this mutant has the [G Skill] that can use the Human Disguise skill. With this skill in 10 seconds, he can transform into human to blend in the soldier crowd, and he will wield random weapons (Primary, Secondary and Melee, no Grenades) but no ammo equipped, similar to spies in Spy Mode. When disguising, melee and/or weapons with melee attacks can hit soldiers, but won't cause damage toward them at all. He is only invincible for the first 3 seconds during the skill (but still can be knocked back/slowed down when shot at), after that he will take damage from soldiers' weapons. In Master Hero Mode X, while disguising, players cannot gain any items or skills when picking up Supply Box (but the Supply Box will still be consumed).

Soldiers cannot detect disguised Fake Nano by checking their nametag, as it will show blue nametag (equals to teammates), but instead by shooting them (as real soldiers cannot be friendly fired at all), checking radar (as they won't show up on it, unlike real soldiers), using Higher Jump perk from Infinity weapons (press M) or even noticing strange behaviors (not shooting at mutants, as they don't have any ammo at all). It's also possible to keep track of mutants' name to spot a disguised Fake Nano, and if a player spot a soldier's name who has previously shown as a mutant before (and there is no Mystic Hero around), that soldier is the Fake Nano. VVIP characters with Hunter Mark perk can also spot him if he has killed before due to the red tag on their head.

Availability[]

Available in all CrossFire versions

Trivia[]

  • The secondary attack of Fake Nano is the same as Light Zombie from Counter-Strike Online.
  • In CF Vietnam, Fake Nano after disguising can wield the COP 357 Derringer-Blue Pottery, but it doesn't have any texture displayed.
  • Although Fake Nano is added after years of Subject Alpha and Girl Crush's release, players can actually use the Shapeshifter skill to obtain this mutant.
