
Demon Sentry is a boss in Titan Citadel and Boss Tower.
Overview[]
After mercenaries destroy and clean up, there will be a gate opening and bringing mercenaries to face the Demon Sentry. Most skills can be avoided by dodging (Shift).
Skills[]
- Frontal swipe: Two frontal swipes that deal moderate damage. Deflectable.
- Ground slam: After the two frontal swipes, he will raise both his arms and slam the ground and instant-kill anyone caught in the 270-degree blast. Only the ground on his back is safe, otherwise, soldiers will have to use Shift to negate damage. Deflectable and Stunable.
- Fireblast: Similar to Flame Guardian, he will charge up and shoot a fire blast that makes three explosions on the ground that deals major damage to all soldiers getting caught on it. Depending on the difficulty, the affected area will either be in front of him or both in front and the back (leaving only his sides as a safe zone).
- Orb Attack: He will raise his arms and shoot out green orbs that target all soldiers on the map. If at least three are deflected back at him, he will be stunned.
- Jumping Attack: If there's a soldier far away and is on the Top Damage List, Demon Sentry will jump toward the said soldier, creating a circle to knock the surrounding soldiers around with one beat (2 spans for Nightmare). This attack is stunable, but the window to hit him is very short, only 1 second.
- Defense Orb: When his HP drops low, Demon Sentry will summon a wave of Green Orb circling the arena to limit soldiers' movement to help him defeat them easier. This move will last until Demon Sentry is defeated.
- Dead ball: Same with Orb Attack but he will charge up longer and throws a larger Dead Ball toward the soldier who's furthest away from him. If deflected back, he will be stunned.
Strategy[]
The best strategy to take on Demon Sentry is having 1 Shield Card, 5 Hammers, and 2 Gravity Glove players. At the beginning, Shield player will move to the gate but not attacking, the rest of the team blasts at Demon Sentry, shift to dodge his two Swipes and hammer + gloves him when he uses Ground Slam. Once Demon Sentry is released, he'll throw a Dead Ball toward the Shield player, at this point all attackers must move out of the way and let Shield player deflect the Dead Ball back and stun Demon Sentry for the second time. The backup Glove player should now hang the boss, as the primary Glove player is still on cooldown. With enough firepower, Demon Sentry's HP will drop below 50% and he'll summon Defense Orb, which everyone can avoid by staying close to him (The Shield player can avoid these orbs by hugging the gate). Another Dead Ball attack will follow up, do the same strategy and Demon Sentry's HP would be down to 20% by the time the second attack ends. Again, he'll summon defense orbs and throw a third Dead Ball, repeat the same process but this time Shield player should open fire to add up to DPS, which will kill Demon Sentry before he recovers.
