Aftermath[]

The new interface has been upgraded from 1024x768 to 1280x720 or 1600x900 (depending on the players' monitor), making the UI much smoother and clearer. It retains the red-black color scheme from the 2.0 version, but the icons and backgrounds are 2D-flat instead of 3D like before. Besides that, the Server/Channel/Room Lobby is more or less similar. On the top left of the screen, there is a tab, which players can head to the Renewal Lobby (left), or the traditional interface (right).

The Item Shop and Item Storage have now been expanded in terms of vision (from 10 to 12 per page). It also comes with new scrolling mechanics, in which every single item/weapon will jump up on the screen instead of the traditional scrolling one. Furthermore, the Anti-Zombie Weapon section was also introduced which classified all Anti-Zombie weapons, making the weapon search more efficient.

This version also supports screen displays with 5:4 and 16:10 ratios with different resolution options. A new option, Borderless Window Mode has been added, allowing a smooth transition between the lobby and in-game loading should the resolution do not match.

Instead of connecting directly to the server, players will proceed to the Main Hub where they can check out messages and notifications. Players can also inspect clearly what character they are using. From there, they have the option to access Public Match or Custom Match:

  • Public Match allow players to quickly join any mode they choose, a feature similar to the Quick Join option, but instead of finding specific rooms, all players with the same option will enter a Matchmaking Queue and be launched into the match immediately. Ranked Match (both PVP and PVE) is now accessible via Public Match, players can choose to quickly join or form a group with up to 4 friends to start a Ranked Match.
  • Custom Match takes the player to the Server Select menu, to which they can then choose to connect and access any open rooms in the channel they connected to. This is the classic lobby option where all features are preserved, except Ranked Match (clicking the button will throw players back to Public Match).

The new Item Shop has included the Mileage Shop, as players can switch between GP/Cash and Mileage Point at the top left of the Item Shop. There's now a Favorite tab, which highlights items players put into their Favorite list.

Black Market has been expanded to include two new sections: VVIP Lucky Crate and VVIP Lucky Wheel, which offer far more luxurious and exclusive prizes compared to the classic Capsules, with the price to open them increased significantly.

Player's Inventory now features a Checkbox that allows them to quickly select all disposable items (Rented weapons, characters, or items) to be deleted with one single click. A search box is also added to quickly find all items with the related name.

After the September 2021 update in CF China, the UI had some additional features:

  • 5:4, 16:9, and 16:10 resolutions of the unstretched Lobby have been added for more display options, which optimizes players a better visual experience.
  • Broader View HUD option has been added for Widescreen resolution. Players can choose to display HUD in its native resolution or stretched to match that of the standard 4:3 resolution, providing a better visual cue to keep track of HP/AC/Ammo/etc...
  • Team members can invite friends while forming a team. The invitation will need approval from the team host, however.
  • The Lobby Renewal has added the Bulletproof Helmet, Bulletproof Vest, and Grenade Kit icon next to the selected bag to display whether players have equipped these items or not.
  • Namecard will now also display underneath players' IGN and Clan section in the Renewal Lobby, Item Storage, and Item Shop.

Trivia[]

  • While most of the UI has been overhauled to support the widescreen resolution, the classic lobby, Black Market and Room Lobby still use the old 3:4 resolution, thus the display will be stretched on a widescreen monitor. This has led to the fact that players will have the 3:4 ratio photo if screenshotted but features non-stretched icons and an interface with collapsed text, making it hard to read.
    • On the same note, the new UI still uses a fixed resolution (either 1280x720 or 1600x900) instead of adapting to the in-game resolution set by the player. The only way to avoid resolution changing is to set the in-game resolution to 1280x720 or 1600x900.
  • After updating to 3.0, GP weapons can no longer be sold for GP, they can either be deleted (CF China) or become permanent weapons in the player's store (globally). Players who wish to clear up their storage and get back some GPs are advised to do so before the 3.0 update.
    • Also, a weapon that is obtained upon its ranked up, if the duration is ongoing then after the CF 3.0 update it became permanent. However, the player cannot equip this weapon on the bag slot.
    • CF Brazil has recently allowed GP weapons to be sold for GP. However, a glitch happens when M16 can be "sold" for 0 GP and it's impossible to buy this weapon via any means. CF Philippines also re-implemented to allow GP weapons can be sold (not applicable for newer released GP weapons) after a recent patch update. In March 2022 update, the ability to sell GP weapons has been restored in CF Vietnam, however, the button used in the Inventory is mistakenly labeled "Renew" instead of "Sell".

Glitches[]

  • If players choose Borderless Windowed Mode, the in-game resolution will reset to 1280x720 or 1600x900 upon quitting and re-logging in. This setting must be changed manually every time players log in.
  • If players have some Reward Boxes from ranking up before the 3.0 update, they'll become permanent items and cannot be opened. This also happened if players rank up but choose to open the Reward Box later in Inventory, and thus the box is unable to be opened. Although this issue is fixed in an urgent update, some boxes still cannot be opened.
    • Legacy gift boxes, such as Friend Giftbox, Attendance Reward Boxe,s or Achievement Reward Boxes also become permanent (the EA left number was removed), and they can still be opened, but doing so will freeze the game, forcing a hard close.
  • In CF Vietnam, the additional Mutation Ammo Mag obtained via the Supreme Package were split up into two tabs: Three were grouped into the "Mutation Items" tab while one was put into the "Common Items" tab. The single Mutation Ammo Mag inside Common Items Tab is thus ignored, cutting players' ammo capacity down by 50%. This was fixed in an urgent update due to players' complaints.
  • After the UI updates, some game modes, maps and features became unavailable (i.e. Shooting Range, Training Camp, Weapon Comparison, etc.) for unknown reasons.
