just updated my laptop to windows 10 last night and tried to play the game
then a message came out saying something like "kernel not compatible with the current OS" or something like that
kinda sucks
not sure if that's just a problem on my laptop or not
It really depends on your version. At the moment, Windows 10 is supported in the following versions; CF China, CF Europe, CF North America and CF Brazil.
This can easily change and other versions might add the support within days.
Keep in mind that CF was designed for XP/7, newer Windows version are not guaranteed to work properly and there is also XTrap/GameGuard compatibility issue as well. Either create a dual-booting system or upgrade at your own risk, we really can't help sorting this issue for you guys; it's up to Smilegate/Tencent/WiseLogic
CF partially works in CF China, EU, NA and Brasil. there are many bugs, especially on the screen and resolution.
Well, you can play on windows 10, cause X-trap updated their signatures. Yeap, it's really working. About bugs... I haven't found any of them. So, it's working well on pure windows 10.
@RonBWL, I played CrossFire before on my Windows 8 and it still works via auto-compatibility mode system by default. By the way, I have no idea haven't tried on Windows 10 yet.
It works now, fixed by Tencent.
Try going to patcher_Cf2.exe and Crossfire.exe and right click, press compatibility, and then press Windows XP- SP3! Make sure it's SP3.
Yep, I'm using Windows 10 and have no problems at all in CFPH.
It must be Windows 10 64x though
